this i believe essay
There are many ways to do lots of sorts of things but there is always(most likely) a right way to do it.like throwing or catching or eating for example. and I believe there is a right way to peel a banana. One evening i got home from school and I was hungry so then i walked across my floor and downstairs into the kitchen. I searched my pantry for something to eat and didn't find much then searched the drawers and nothing. Then the fruitbowl were i found a banana. I reached over to get it and grabbed it and peeled it then ate. a thought then popped up in my head as i ate the sweet fruit. Is this right, did i do it right,.....what.
When i peeled the banana it felt weird i felt like i did it wrong, i didn't do it like i used to do it. (biting off the end and peeling what i can).so then i ate it and when i was done i reached for another banana and peeled it and ate it.but this time like i used to. Later later i asked my sister for her computer and then went to google. Started researching ways to peel a banana, and found a few like.(squeezing the tip and peeling)and(ripping the stemmed end off and peeling)and(and cutting off the end and peeling)and(cutting it in half and peeling it)etc.i believe that the right way to peel a banana (pinch the tip and peeling down from there).
This is the way to peel (pinch the tip and peeling down from there).why you may ask first it is very easy. Two lots of monkeys do it off instinct. Here's how you open a banana like a monkey: Ignore the handle-like stem. Turn your banana upside-down and focus on the nubby, pointed tip at the opposite end. Pinch this tip between your first finger and thumb — this will split the skin of the banana cleanly, allowing you to peel it back. Easy, says emma christensen. Three the banana doesn't get wasted while doing it or during it.in conclusion there is many ways to do things.and there is right and wrong ways of doing things. Like peeling a banana the right way(pressing the tip and peeling down from there).this is the end of my this i believe essay.

Homelessness final draft
Introduction
The homeless are a big part of our community and the number of homeless people is increasing. They are all around us sleeping in sketchy alleyways some even in abandoned buildings. Most homeless live off of $5 or less for food and water. We don't pay any attention to them. Most of us only give change, some don't give anything being afraid they might spend it on alcohol or drugs. That is a possibility so instead of money some give food, which is not a bad thing every little thing helps. There are currently more than 4000 people living without homes, food, or clean water in wake county.
This issue is very personal to me, my mother used to be homeless. I wasn't born during this time but my sister was. My mother sometimes tells me stories about sleeping on the cold concrete because she was not allowed to sleep in parks on the grass. During the time my mother had my sister she was living in a homeless shelter. This got my mother back on track with her life. There was also this homeless man that used to be around our house we would give him food sometimes. I remember feeling really sorry for him. Some people might think homeless people are not good people or there sketchy but all the homeless people I have met are actually really nice and just need help.
Everyone should care because this can happen to anyone. Imagine if you were put in this situation without a home and food. Sleeping outside in the cold with an empty stomach and if you have kids it's even worse. There are lots of homeless women with kids out there so at least care about the children. The homeless are people too so if you don't care about another humans life that's pretty insensitive. Just imagine how you would feel if you were looked down upon like garbage every day.
The Issue
The Problem is that there are over 4000 homeless in NC and there are many reasons why. One of the many reasons is poverty. Despite 6% of Raleigh population and with the rate 1 in 6 people live paycheck to paycheck (Raleigh Rescue Mission 2018). They do not have money to buy the necessary items they need. Another reason is the high cost of kids. Having to buy the needs of a child can get expensive. It takes $1025 a month on average to afford rental (Rent Jungle, December 2017) Another reason is domestic abuse, many people leave because of the violence; illness. disaster is another reason. Both of these can really burn a hole in your wallet. Released from jail with nowhere to turn to some because of their past history they are left out in the streets.
And here are some fact that are also a problem.(Raleigh Rescue Mission 2018)
1 in every 30 children experience homelessness
83% of children are exposed to violence
Life expectancy on the streets are 46 years
1,300 coats, hats, and other winter clothing items distributed in Raleigh Rescue Mission
These are all problems in the community that homeless people have and some good that Raleigh rescue does.
Solution
There are many ways to help the homeless. Some people host food drives in some parts of Raleigh to give essentials to the homeless and help them to take care of their personal needs. People will raise money and donate stuff to the homeless shelter to give stuff to the homeless people. They raise food, clothes and other items for homeless shelters to provide some stuff for the people to be taken care of well. This can help a homeless person get back on their feet and get a new start.
Some homeless don’t have clothes and have to wear the same clothes for days. They don't have what they need to get a job to provide for them or even their families. Some people will give tours to help homeless see what jobs may be available for them and help them get a job. There are some people are giving money to help them. We try to donate enough so every so homeless has a chance to get back on their feet.
Possible Service Ideas
Helping a homeless person can mean a lot. It can give them hope that people care and that they may have a bright future. Our idea for our service project is to donate to a homeless shelter. Our plan is to set up a stand in front of a grocery store for the day and ask for donations. This would require a table and a few posters. I think we could set up a few groups at different grocery stores. This way we may be able to gather more donations. We would be asking for people to donate Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Band-Aids, Underwear, Neosporin Cortisone Cream, Cotton Swabs, Listerine, Deodorant, Razors, Nail Clippers, Baby Wipes, Thick Socks, Batteries, Feminine hygiene products. These are the most recommended products to donate to homeless by the HSD (HSD homeless website homeless shelter directory 2016). We could also make small thank you cards or tokens in thanks of their donations. After a while of gathering donations, we could all meet up at a homeless shelter and give them our donations. This would be our way of helping the homeless

historical connections
comparing great escapes from ww2 and ww2. the connection between my book and ww2 is that the escapes that happened in it happened at the same time ww2 was going on. there are many places that my book took place but at the time most f the countries it took place in were at war. some events from the book are related to real life like how in the end of the first one it stated lots of escape attempt happened. the people in my book as far as i know don't have much opinion ww2. other connection are that in the end of story 1 it said later british/american soldiers freed over 300 prisoners.( im only on the beginning of thee second story) \(o.o)/{hi]
Current day connection
Connection #1
In my book bill fowler and a group of inmates escape from colditz castle. Colditz castle is a “escape proof” fortress today its a tourist location.
Connection #2
Siegfried leads a group of inmates into freedom from auschwitz a nazi death camp.
Today we have International Holocaust Remembrance Day a day were we mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
Connection#3
Allied prisoners escape stalag luft III through a tunnel system they made. Today it's a great 4.5 star location to visit(https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1074311-d1626497-Reviews-Stalag_Luft_III_Prisoner_Camp_Museum-Zagan_Lubusz_Province_Western_Poland.html).
connection#4
Another auschwitz but this time a german soldier helps an inmate escape in return for protection from the government.(there already a connection so here is a historic fact).singer Edith Piaf helped 120 prisoners of war escape from Nazi camps by fabricating phoney identity cards for them its unproven buuuuuuut if its true its pretty cool.

thats so blog (due may 4th)
my book the great escapes of world war 2 matters because in the book we learn about the prisons/camps. in story 1 col ditz , in story 2 Auschwitz, and in story 3 Stalag Luft 3. and in these stories we follow bill fowler, siegfried, and a dozen prisoners. the most valuable idea in my book is don't get caught on enemy lines. my book has many endings so i will say 2 in story 1 2/6 prisoners escape and in 1945 american troops set everyone free. and in story 3 pestek gets killed and lederer joined the resistance. my book is still relents because it tells us of over a dozen men made it out of these terrible prisons/camps.
